1. First thing in the morning when you wake up, do you look at your phone? If so, what do you search?

I am usually woken by my 3 year old demanding breakfast, so it is breakfast duties for our 3 boys first thing.
2. Are you a coffee or tea drinker and what kind?

Tea, english breakfast.

3. You always imagined growing up you’d be?
For 13 years I worked in PR-marketing for large corporations, and then the idea for Modibodi came about and I felt this absolute desire to create it. But a few years ago I was looking through some memorabilia and discovered a “who are you” sheet from Kindergarten. One question on the sheet was ‘what do you want to be when you grow up?’ and my answer was to make a lot of money and to be a fashion designer. I had forgotten about this, so it’s quite funny I am now actually doing what I said I would in Kindy, well the fashion designer part anyway.
4. Your passion for womens underwear came about from…

A personal need and desire to change women’s underwear for the better. After suffering from pelvic floor weakness after the birth of my second child and experiencing irregular periods throughout my life, I thought it was time for women’s underwear to evolve. I questioned why with all the advances in technology our underwear had not changed and we were still relying on inconvenient, irritating, unattractive, eco-damaging disposable hygiene to stay dry and fresh. I think most of us wear underwear to protect our bodies from our clothes, but for millions of women it often lets us down. We simply created a line of underwear offers fashion, comfort and protection in one.

5. When women are negative it makes you…

Question. I think we are all prone to being negative at times, but when women are negative towards other women publicly, I am left questioning their motivation, and their humanity.
6. When women support one another you…
See great things happen.

7. One thing you keep close to your chest (until now is)…

Right now I am excited but also really nervous about the growth of Modibodi in 2017 and what impact this will have on me and my family.

8. To all those women who are negative on social media you’d say…

Stop, think about the consequences of your words, walk away, and read a book. I am also not a fan of sarcasm as feel it is negativity hidden by comedy. So to all the women who feel it necessary to make rude and sarcastic remarks about our curvy models, I am telling you it is just cruel not funny.
9. If you could express one piece of QueenHood advice to working women you would say…
Work smarter, not harder, and do not buy into the office gossip.
10. The never ending quest for balance between work life and family life you take on by…

Outsourcing tasks like cleaning, committing to only 3 loads of washing a week (I think we over wash our clothes, but don’t get me started), working 4 days, working when I probably should be relaxing, running 2-3 times a week, attending important school events but saying no to reading groups or baking cakes. It’s a juggle, but I also recognise as a working mum with a busy working husband, and 3 young children, for both work and family it is ultimately about quality time rather than quantity, and I am a better person and mum for doing both.

11. Your company Modibodi…tell us what we don’t understand regarding performance underwear…

Modibodi has combined fashion, comfort and protection to ensure women never have to fear an embarrassing mishap ever again and can stop wearing disposable hygiene.

12. When you’re in work mode you are best described as…
Motivated, determined, taking action, results focused, courageous, solution oriented and helping others to succeed.
13: The legacy you hope to leave is…

The empowerment of women.
